The desire to build Bar Ferdinand came about as a part of the natural evolution of Owen Kamihira’s fifteen-year career as a restaurant designer and consultant. Owen envisioned a local gathering place for neighbors to go for great tapas, wine, and conversation; an anchor establishment in the Northern Liberties community he has lived in for the past 28 years. His love for Spanish culture combined with the right opportunity and timing, turned Bar Ferdinand from concept to reality.
